In addition to one regular performance from each couple, they all got together for a big group number as well. Shotyme stopped by to choreograph what was billed as the Old School Hip Hop performance. As you might anticipate, that went superior for some than it did for others. We also had a special guest judge this week. Michael Flatley, best known for Lord of the Dance, filled in for Len Goodman. He got the full emDWTS/em experience, witnessing some fantastic performances… and Cloris. A look at all of the performances, is after the jump./ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/10/28/dancing-with-the-stars-week-6/ rel=bookmarkContinue reading emDancing With The Stars: Week 6/em/a/pp style=clear: both; padding: 8px 0 0 0; height: 2px; font-size: 1px; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0;nbsp;/ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/10/28/dancing-with-the-stars-week-6/ rel=bookmark title=Permanent link to this entryPermalink/anbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/forward/1354647/ title=Send this entry to a friend via emailEmail this/anbsp;|nbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/10/28/dancing-with-the-stars-week-6/#comments title=View reader comments on this entryComments/a/pdiv class=feedflare a href=http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=dIcSmimg src=http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=dIcSm border=0/img/a a href=http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=Ertmmimg src=http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=Ertmm border=0/img/a /divimg src=http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~4/434308944 height=1 width=1/ a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=’http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~3/434308944/’Via [tvsquad]/abr

That’s probably because it’s on E! and that’s probably a network that TV viewers don’t consider when they think of late night television, but let’s be honest, it’s a lot better than emLast Call with Carson Daly/em (plus it’s on a lot earlier). And Chelsea Handler is a genuinely funny person. Her book of comic essaysem Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea/em is quite good, though I haven’t read her first book about all of the one night stands she has had. Sounds funny though. The Massive Bang Theory: The Lizard-Spock Expansion

Sheldon is easily the quirkiest character, so falling into the trap of, hey, check out this ridiculous thing that guy stated, over and over again would be quite simple. So far though, the writers have managed to avoid that; which is why I was happy to have a Wolowitz episode this week. br /br /Of course, Sheldon was still there being his ridiculous self, but he wasn’t there to move the plot along; much as his Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock game didn’t move anything along (everyone always picked Spock).pa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/the-big-bang-theory-the-lizard-spock-expansion/ rel=bookmarkContinue reading emThe Huge Bang Theory: The Lizard-Spock Expansion/em/a/pp style=clear: both; padding: 8px 0 0 0; height: 2px; font-size: 1px; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0;nbsp;/ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/the-big-bang-theory-the-lizard-spock-expansion/ rel=bookmark title=Permanent link to this entryPermalink/anbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/forward/1375071/ title=Send this entry to a friend via emailEmail this/anbsp;|nbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/the-big-bang-theory-the-lizard-spock-expansion/#comments title=View reader comments on this entryComments/a/p pa href=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/XJ5SE8jnsUrJ4GfTrvzVVwmRoDw/aimg src=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/XJ5SE8jnsUrJ4GfTrvzVVwmRoDw/i border=0 ismap=true/img/a/pdiv class=feedflare a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=uvYkBSzhimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=uvYkBSzh border=0/img/a a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=qFr7yqRIimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=qFr7yqRI border=0/img/a /divimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~4/xonnHQASLB8 height=1 width=1/ a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=’http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~3/xonnHQASLB8/’Via [tvsquad]/abr

If you wanted, you could make an argument for Maurice Greene, but I think the viewers did a solid job narrowing the field down to these four teams. Coming into the semi-finals, all of them had a legitimate shot at making it to the big show next week. It would all come down to their two week 9 performances. Along the way, we’d a tiny bit of something old, and something new. As in years past, the stuffiest of the judges made his rounds to all of the final four teams for Len Goodman’s Master Class. New to this season, they also managed to work in two pro numbers as examples of what to look for in the salsa and the jitterbug. It all added up to a pretty pleasing night. There were 10s, and there were 7s. Who came out on top? The scores, and a rundown of all the performances, after the jump. /ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/dancing-with-the-stars-week-9/ rel=bookmarkContinue reading emDancing With The Stars: Week 9/em/a/pp style=clear: both; padding: 8px 0 0 0; height: 2px; font-size: 1px; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0;nbsp;/ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/dancing-with-the-stars-week-9/ rel=bookmark title=Permanent link to this entryPermalink/anbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/forward/1375106/ title=Send this entry to a friend via emailEmail this/anbsp;|nbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/18/dancing-with-the-stars-week-9/#comments title=View reader comments on this entryComments/a/p pa href=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/RQW9EmrnrYBfHbOf7bI9qrJOajE/aimg src=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/RQW9EmrnrYBfHbOf7bI9qrJOajE/i border=0 ismap=true/img/a/pdiv class=feedflare a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=dVxRrnMLimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=dVxRrnML border=0/img/a a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=JHupyk3zimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=JHupyk3z border=0/img/a /divimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~4/GqsqrPNqc6s height=1 width=1/ a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=’http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~3/GqsqrPNqc6s/’Via [tvsquad]/abr

I never thought there would come a time when I stopped watching it (no matter how pathetic that probably sounds), but then the show got rid of cast members that were vital to the show, the writers created plots and characters that were paper thin and just lousy, and they started screwing up with the show’s history, too. Those are three things that are unforgivable in a soap opera.br /br /But things might be getting superior at emGuiding Light/em. After several years and lots of negotiations, a href=http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272623782.shtmlGrant Aleksander is returning to the show/a as Philip Spaulding.pa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/wow-i-might-have-to-start-watching-guiding-light-again/ rel=bookmarkContinue reading emWow, I might have to begin watching Guiding Light again/em/a/pp style=clear: both; padding: 8px 0 0 0; height: 2px; font-size: 1px; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0;nbsp;/ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/wow-i-might-have-to-start-watching-guiding-light-again/ rel=bookmark title=Permanent link to this entryPermalink/anbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/forward/1374429/ title=Send this entry to a friend via emailEmail this/anbsp;|nbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/wow-i-might-have-to-start-watching-guiding-light-again/#comments title=View reader comments on this entryComments/a/p pa href=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/SOK54UllVXBrC3u9PC2hfy3HrKM/aimg src=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/SOK54UllVXBrC3u9PC2hfy3HrKM/i border=0 ismap=true/img/a/pdiv class=feedflare a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=fVAVTb2Eimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=fVAVTb2E border=0/img/a a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=uyqFEIlOimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=uyqFEIlO border=0/img/a /divimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~4/VszLPFuGURQ height=1 width=1/ a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=’http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~3/VszLPFuGURQ/’Via [tvsquad]/abr

Saying good-bye to The Barn: Chatting up The Shield’s Shawn Ryan as series finale nears

They all got endings - whether you liked them or not. However, none of them (save for emThe Wire/em and for entirely different reasons) were as consistently riveting as Vic Mackey’s exploits on FX’s emThe Shield/em./p pSince the a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/08/26/the-shield-season-seven-an-early-look/seventh and final season/a began airing, FX has sent critics the first 11 episodes. So, despite the fact that I’ve been in the know, I’ve tried to avoid sounding like I’ve a secret in my episode reviews. Still, I was in the dark like everyone else when it came to how it all ends. So imagine my glee when I received an invite last month to attend a screening of the show’s final two installments followed by a Qamp;A with emShield/em creator Shawn Ryan./ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/saying-good-bye-to-the-barn-chatting-up-the-shields-shawn-ryan/ rel=bookmarkContinue reading emSaying good-bye to The Barn: Chatting up The Shield’s Shawn Ryan as series finale nears/em/a/pp style=clear: both; padding: 8px 0 0 0; height: 2px; font-size: 1px; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0;nbsp;/ppa href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/saying-good-bye-to-the-barn-chatting-up-the-shields-shawn-ryan/ rel=bookmark title=Permanent link to this entryPermalink/anbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/forward/1364684/ title=Send this entry to a friend via emailEmail this/anbsp;|nbsp;|nbsp;a href=http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/11/17/saying-good-bye-to-the-barn-chatting-up-the-shields-shawn-ryan/#comments title=View reader comments on this entryComments/a/p pa href=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/z-0IX1y5iUeqp-PXWaUdf8j-mOQ/aimg src=http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/z-0IX1y5iUeqp-PXWaUdf8j-mOQ/i border=0 ismap=true/img/a/pdiv class=feedflare a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=Hy8wsF5Limg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=Hy8wsF5L border=0/img/a a href=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?a=JK7HA2wnimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~f/weblogsinc/tvsquad?i=JK7HA2wn border=0/img/a /divimg src=http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~4/GBIQwE81whA height=1 width=1/ a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=’http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/weblogsinc/tvsquad/~3/GBIQwE81whA/’Via [tvsquad]/abr
